New Delhi : Eid-ul-Fitr is among the great festivals celebrated by Muslims across the world; Saudi Arabia and UAE will celebrating Eid on May 2, 2022. The crescent moon was reportedly not sighted in Saudi Arabia and UAE on Saturday so Eid will be celebrated on May 2.

According to the Astronomical Center, UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Turkey, Tunisia, Syria, Palestine, Qatar, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt and Mauritania will be celebrating Eid on Monday.



About Eid-ul-Fitr

Eid ul Fitr marks the end of holy month of Ramdan. The celebration of Eid may vary from country to country as it depends on the moon sighting, which may vary as per different geographic locations. It is observed on the first day of Shawaal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar.

Those who dedicatedly practice Islam end their month-long fast, known as Roza, on the day.
