New Delhi : India has allowed Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's airplane to use its airspace for his visit to Sri Lanka. He will be leaving for his maiden visit to Sri Lanka on February 23.

It must be noted that Pakistan had denied PM Narendra Modi's flight to use its air space in 2019 when he had to travel to the US and Saudi Arabia.

India took up the denial of permission to VVIP flight with an International Civil Aviation Organisation.

Under normal circumstances, VVIP aircrafts are allowed to use airspaces by all the countries. However, Pakistan's denial of permission to VVIP aircraft was an aberration.

Pakistan had alleged that India is doing human rights violations in Kashmir and to protest that they disallowed PM Modi’s aircraft.
