New Delhi : New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced her plans to get married during summer but she did not mentioned exact dates of her marriage.

According to a news report by New Zealand Herald, Ardern told Coast Radio that she and her partner television host Clarke Gayford have "finally got a date" for the wedding.

"That doesn't mean we've told anyone yet, so I feel like we should probably put some invites out," Ardern was quoted as saying by the report.

The two had engaged during the Easter Easter holidays in 2019 and they have a two-year-old daughter.

She talked about the ceremonies which will be held for her wedding and mentioned that they will be officially tying the knot during summer, which runs from December to February in the southern hemisphere, but they may not go the traditional way as she believes she is "too old to have a bridal party".

There is "nothing further to add over what has been reported this morning", a spokesman in the prime minister's office told Reuters.

In 2017, she had become New Zealand's youngest Prime Minister.
