Bullet train in China

Beijing : In China, the operation of world’s longest Bullet train route that connects the prosperous eastern coast to the less-developed southwestern part of the vast country has begun.

2,252 km long route will pass through the five provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou and Yunnan. The train will take only 11 hours to cover this distance which was 34 hours earlier.

The maximum speed is 330 km per hour, Wang Jinda, a train driver was quoted as saying by the state-run Xinhua news agency.

Uptil now, China has built over 20,000 kms of high-speed rail lines and is planning to take it to 45,000 kms by the end of 2030.
