Islamabad : Predicting an earthquake may be a task for scientists but when it comes to ISI they can. According to a circular, apparently released by the government, the intelligence agency has been given an additional task of monitoring earthquakes.

A document of rehabilitation wing of Pakistan's Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) have quoted an "Information Report" from Director General, ISI, predicting earthquake in near future.

The document mentions that 'a large scale earthquake is expected in Indian Ocean in near future which may shake Asian continents including Pakistan.'

The report was posted on Twitter by the former Pakistan ambassador to the US, Husain Haqqani.

The social media users were left in splits reading that ISI can predict earthquakes.
