Wuhan : Looks like people of China are no longer feared from the coronavirus and a disaster it has done to the world. People in Wuhan, where coronavirus had emerged last year, were seen ditching the masks and enjoying a big electronic music party at a water park.

According to a report by news agency AFP, the popular Wuhan Maya Beach Water Park was jam-packed with people frolicking in swimsuits and goggles for the music festival, but none of them was seen wearing face masks or following social-distancing measures.

Pictures and videos from the party have been trending on social media, showing people were not wearing masks and not following social distancing during the party.

Partygoers packed into the pool while a DJ performed on stage. Watch:

The Wuhan had started unlocking things in June after a fall in the number of coronavirus cases.

Local media report that the park is offering a half-price promotion for female visitors in an effort to kick-start the business.

China has said that it has brought the coronavirus outbreak under control and no new cases have been reported in Wuhan or the surrounding Hubei province since mid-May. However, the country has recently seen a new spike of infections in the north-western province of Xinjiang and the north-eastern city of Dalian.
