World's heaviest woman Eman to come India for surgery

New Delhi : A 36-year-old bedbound Egyptian woman, world’s heaviest, will soon be visiting India to reduce her weight via surgery. She is 500 kgs in weight and an Indian top surgeon has offered help.

Eman Ahmed Abd El Aty's is preparing herself to be flown to Mumbai in the next 10 days, her sister Shaymaa told news agency PTI.

Her story went viral on social media platforms after many web portals shared her tragic story of being bracketed in a room for over 25 years.

"There are very few facilities for a case like Eman's in Egypt. I've got many promises, but all of them were not true.

There is no even one well-equipped bed in a hospital which she can lay on," Shaymaa said.

After her story knocked Mumbai based doctor Muffazal Lakdawala’s door, he came forward and offered his help.

He even set up a fundraiser to fly Eman to India.

We wish she gets back in the normal size soon and enjoy the beauty of life outside her room.
