Worst COVID-19 crisis set to overwhelm China

New Delhi : Coronavirus is far from over and this can be said in context to what is happening in China right now. The number of cases has been rising drastically and it is expected that the nation will see its worst coronavirus phase soon.

For two consecutive days, China reported over 1000 new coronavirus cases, and the third day it jumped to over 3100. This is the biggest jump in cases in three years.

China's Shenzen City has been put under lock-down to stop spread of coronavirus cases. The people in the city have been advised to stay inside their home, public transport services have been temporarily suspended and mass testing will soon be done.

The City has been facing the Omicron outbreak since late February.

Coronavirus was first reported in Wuhan and since then it has claimed more than 6 million lives across the world.

With cases rising in China again, it has become a matter of concern as the countries across the globe are reopening following decrease in the number of cases.
