John Kerry to meet Narendra Modi today

US Secretary of State John Kerry will be meeting meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday
On Thursday, he met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley
The discussions were about "transformative initiatives" in key areas of security and energy
The meet is aimed at instilling some vigour in bilateral ties
Ahead of his visit, he had praised Narendra Modi for inviting Nawaz Sharif
He had also hinted that India and US can and should be indispensable partners for the 21st century
Modi is scheduled to visit United States of America in September
The invitation was sent by the US President Barack Obama
Kerry is also expected to visit Bengaluru and will also be joined by the Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker
