Anticipating cost relief: Sources predict up to Rs 10 reduction in petrol, diesel prices soon

Delhi : In the coming days, the Modi administration may lower the price of petrol and diesel to help the average person. Reportedly, there could be a price reduction of up to Rs 10 for both diesel and petrol.

According to reports, the government and oil firms are negotiating a price reduction.

Since May 2022, there has been no variation in the cost of petrol and diesel.

Oil corporations used to lose Rs 17 for petrol and Rs 35 for diesel per litre, but as crude oil prices have dropped, they are now making a profit of Rs 8–10 for petrol and Rs 3–4 for diesel.
