Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to launch calendar of Atal Online FDP 2021-22

New Delhi : With a major core area to develop expertise of the faculty in technical institutes across the country, the AICTE Training And Learning (ATAL) Academy shall be launching a mega calendar for conduct of 971 online faculty development programme on 17th May,2021 at 03.00 pm.

AICTE has taken various quality initiatives to promote the technical education in the country which also includes enhanced impetus on development of the faculty teaching in the colleges across the country. The AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy has been conducting various Faculty Development Programme for imparting/ upgrading faculty knowledge in thrust and emerging areas of Data Science, Cyber Security, Quantum Computing, 3D printing and designing, Artificial Intelligence, AR/VR, Robotics, Internet of things. The programme is delivered to the participants over a period of 5 days using rich mix of e-content, lectures from industry experts & laboratory experiments.

In a short span of two years, ATAL Academy has already conducted 185 (Offline) and 948(online) respectively FDPs in 19-20 and 2020-21respectively & trained more than 1,00,000technical faculty members throughout the country.

Given the COVID- 19 backdrop, this year 971 FDP in various emerging areas are going to be conducted in online mode. The FDP Calendar for the same shall be launched virtually by Hon'ble Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on 17th May 2021 at 3:00 pm. The Chairman, AICTE Prof. Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Vice Chairman AICTE, Prof M P Poonia, Member Secretary AICTE, Prof. Rajiv Kumar and Director ATAL Academies, Dr R.K Soni shall also be present for the launch. The launch shall also mark the inaugural session of the first set of fifteen FDP. These seven FDPs are being steered by various institutes as per the list given at Annexure 1.

The inaugural function shall also be streamed on 17 May 2021, 03:00 pm onward on AICTE YouTube channel accessible at https:/youtube.com/MediaAICTE.
