Comedian Kunal Kamra's shows cancelled in Bangalore for the next 20 days

Mumbai : Famous comedian Kunal Kamra shows scheduled for next 20 days in Bangalore have been cancelled, he revealed the news in a tweet and gave it a sarcastic twist. 

In the post,  he said that the reason for the cancellation was given as the low seating capacity of the venue. The other reason he said was a threat call made to the organisers with warning that the venue will be shut if he performs there.

"I guess this is also part of the Covid protocol and new guidelines. I suppose I am seen as a variant of the virus now," he said. 

In recent times, several comedians have claimed that their shows are cancelled if they make political comments or satire during the show. Mr Kamra has said that Mr Faruqui was forced to quit comedy after his 12 shows were cancelled within a time duration of just two months.

He alleged that things have escalated to a level where comedians are first showing their videos to the lawyers before making them public to avoid any controversy.
