First official image of new AC coach by Indian Railways

New Delhi : Railway authorities have released first official image of new AC coach they had announced recently. The pictures of coaches have been shared on press information bureau (PIB) official website.

The new coach sports a continuous glass window panel to add stance to its looks.

Current AC coaches have metal pillars in between the window panels which have been concealed with the additional glasses.

Currently, the LHB Coaches that have been constructed by the ICF have been equipped with split windows of size 1100 mm (L) x 680 mm (H), the release added. 

Indian Railways recently added airplane like black boxes in some trains to make travelling by train even more safe. They call it smart coach.

Besides this, smart coaches will have other features such as smart CCTV cameras, passenger information system, infotainment software and wi-fi access.
