New Delhi : Migrant labours who do not have coronavirus symptoms can move to their native places as the Centre allowed interstate traveling during lockdown. The set of new guidelines comes less than a week before lockdown will end in India.

The order from Central government asked state governments to appoint a nodal body and draw up protocols to carry the movement in a safe manner.

"The moving person(s) would be screened and those found asymptomatic would be allowed to proceed," the order read.

Buses will be allowed for the interstate movement of the people and they should be sanitised between trips, the order read.

Two days ago Centre had raised their concerns before Supreme Court over the migrant workers. "The government is consulting with the states on how many have to be transported to their states and how many have to be given help and what kind… We are taking all kind of steps," Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had said.
