Vinay Kumar Saxena to be new Delhi LG

New Delhi : Five days after Anil Baijal resigned from his post, Vinay Kumar Saxena has been named as Delhi's next LG. President Ram Nath Kovind accepted Mr Baijal's resignation on Monday and announced Mr Saxena as his successor.

On May 18, Anil Baijal had resigned from his post, quoting personal reasons behind his decision. He had completed his five years as LG in December, but since there is no fixed timeline for an LG to work he continued.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former LG Anil Baijal had been under arguments against each other on various issues; after the news of resignation, the former tweeted, "he is a good man and I wish him luck for his future endeavors."
