An art acquired, gained over years of struggle & patience: THE CATMAN, Harsha Narasimhamurthy, narrates his experience with the wild

New Delhi : How extravagant is it when you are known for your passion ? Surely it is something that you wanted and proudly achieved. Similar is the persona of famously known ‘CATMAN’,Harsha Narasimhamurthy. As an award-winning Wildlife Photographer and a Mentor he has scaled the success ladder by pursuing his passionate love for the wildlife. 

His intuitively captured images of the Wild Cat, ranging fromshowcasing  animal's emotional instincts to highlighting the  panorama of the nature ; leaves the viewers awestruck. With many such clicks he now has a renowned name in wildlife photography and has added many achievements to his name.To mention a few he has won Askary Award 2016; ‘Best Tiger Picture’, Animal Category, YPS Salon 2016 etc. Not only this his work has been published in leading papers and magazinesacross the world. 

As an accomplished man, he narrates his experience, “As an art acquired and gained with years of struggle, patience and above all passion". Since it doesn’t yield money in initial stages, pursuing wildlife photography, was a tough decision. The 2014 Youth For Clicks Competition hosted by one of the leading wildlife magazine called Saevus turned out to be a turning point for him. He was selected among one of the top 8 finalist and this persuaded him to take up wildlife photography as a profession.

Wildlife photography is not easy and capturing Tigers is all the more a tedious task. His work dedication derives him to spend hours in Tadoba Andheri Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, where temperature can rise up to 43 degrees in months of April. However he optimistically says, “High temperatures pull the animals out for water; a perfect opportunity for the right click.” In one such opportunity, he and his team wereable to capture a magnificent picture of two cubs (male and female) of W female. The two had come out to quench their thirst when there mother was out. Strikingly, this picture was featured by Discovery and many other channels .

Learning from those who have accomplished something is the best form of education and currently Harsha has been contributing to this by mentoring and guiding many photography enthusiasts. His training and guidance has gained him much popularity among his clients and he is pioneering the path for others in most spirited way.
