THREE PILLARS OF LIFE
THREE PILLARS OF LIFE

New Delhi : In India’s 21st century, life full of hustle- bustle. We are unintentionally loosing the candor focus on various important aspects of life which in turn is the root cause of various physical & mental problems.

Gone are those days, when physical workout (Running/ walking/ crunches/ push-ups) & meditation were integral/pivotal part of the daily life; also vividly known as three pillars of life:- Physical Fitness, Mental Fitness and Spiritual Fitness.

These were the pillars of life which used to give kick start to our new morning/new Sun. The endorphins released through these activities in 1 hour were unparallel to rest 23 hours.

It wasn’t a daunting task to spare 1/24th of our time for these critical activities for our mind and soul. Out of 168 hours in a week; can’t we spare 6-7 hours for our longevity: mental toughness and happiness.

And we have to keep this in our capricious mind that once our body & soul debilitate then the way back needs assiduous efforts. True enjoyment comes from the activity of mind & exercise of the body; the two are ever united.

The impact of meditation is prodigious on our soul & mind because it is one of the most powerful tool to control our thoughts & bring calmness & serenity to our mind. And as mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib Ji ‘Man Jeete- Jag Jeete’. So both for our worldly & heavenly life, controlling our thoughts hence meditation, is of pragmatic importance. It is rightly said if we master our thoughts; we master our mind and once we master our mind; we master our life & when we master our life; we master our destiny.

Starting from Indus Valley Civilization, our land has witnessed birth of many saints, dhyan & meditation has been preached by one and all.

In order to do anything in this materialistic world there is pivotal importance of a healthy body. Even for practicing meditation dhyan physically fit body is required. Physical excellence precedes mental excellence.

And these activities which give us maximum happiness/ Blissfulness cost us literally zero penny. For practicing meditation there is need of just concentration/focus. And that for remaining physically fit; we can focus on 3 complete body workouts in any park/ garden which are running/walking push-ups and crunches depending on our age and capabilities.

So let us make candor arduous efforts to go back to basics of Ancient Civilization and lead a healthy happy and satisfied life.
