At least 18 people lost their lives and more than 60 were left injured after an under construction bridge collapsed on a congested road intersection in Kolkata. The incident comes as a big embarrassment for Trinamool Congress (TMC) during a time when the state goes for polls in less than 2 weeks.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday blasted Centre and BJP over 4-day CBI remand for her close aide Madan Mitra and mentioned that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has photo with Sahara chief, so should we demand that CBI should arrest PM Modi. Banerjee also said that CBI has lost all its credentials and TMC MPs will protest against it in the Parliament on Monday.
