Claiming that she is losing grounds in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that, "this election will be remembered for her attitude towards democracy and constitution. Several BJP workers were attacked and killed during the election time."

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed the Election Commission for being partial and blamed it of acting like a “BJP’s brother”.

“Going to West Bengal for rally in Dum Dum. Let us see if Didi (Mamata Banerjee) allows it. If she has her way she will not allow helicopter to land,” said PM Modi at a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Mau.

The BJP chief said: “I have travelled the whole country, gauged the mood… after phase 5 and 6, the BJP has got the absolute majority and after phase 7 we will definitely cross the 300 mark.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday took a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah, questioning if he is a god that no one can protest against him.

Hours after his rally in West Bengal's Jadavpur was cancelled, Amit Shah held another public meeting where he said, “I am chanting Jai Shri Ram here today. If you have guts, Mamata didi, arrest me.”

"I have been told that Didi said she wanted to slap Modi. Mamata Didi, I call you Didi and will continue to keep doing so. Your slap will be a blessing for me,” PM Modi said at an election rally in Bengal’s Purulia.

Odisha State Disaster Management Authority Spokesperson Sangram Mohapatra told ANI, "One crore, 48 lakh people have been affected in 155 blocks. Almost 5.8 lakh houses have been damaged. As many as 37 casualties have been reported till now."

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee predicted the outcome of Lok Sabha Election 2019, saying that Bharatiya Janata Party will not be able to get more than 17 seats in the Uttar Pradesh.

Talking to Akshay Kumar in a candid interview, PM Modi has said, "People will be surprised and I should not say this in the election season, but Mamata didi sends me gifts every year. She still sends me one or two kurtas that she picks herself a year."
