New Delhi : Team India may have to face the close end over defeats in their first two games of Super 4, Asia Cup 2022, but against Afghanistan in their third Super 4 match, the players were in an all different mood. Skipper Virat Kohli also shined like a bright star and scored the first T20 century of his career.

Indian team has already been knocked out of the tournament, but they signed off in style. Virat Kohli gave tons of reasons to his fans to smile during the last game of the tournament for men in blue. There were a lot of experiments done in the game.

Rohit Sharma was given rest, Virat Kohli was sent to open the Indian innings with KL Rahul.

It should also be noted here that Virat Kohli made the most of the situation and also scored his first international century in last 1020 days; he remained not out till the end of the Indian innings. He scored 122 runs off just 61 balls, laced with 12 fours and six sixes, at a strike-rate of 200.

India gave Afghanistan a mammoth 213 run target to win the game. The latter had to face a deadly start as Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck the ball in the right patches and managed spell of 5/4. Indian side restricted Afghanistan to 111/8 in 20 overs.
