Apple's 'Scary Fast' surprise: MacBook Pro with M3 Max processor arriving next week
Delhi : At the company's yearly October event, dubbed "Scary Fast" since it takes place on Halloween eve at 5:00 PM PT/5:30 AM IST, Apple is all prepared to showcase new products. At the Wonderlust event in September, the tech giant had already showcased the most recent iPhone 15 lineup. The introduction of the new M3 chipset, which will operate on 3-nanometer CPUs and offer considerable enhancements over the M2 range that was announced in June 2022, is anticipated to be the main attraction of the next Apple event, according to Bloomberg.
Apple is expected to introduce two new MacBook Pros, codenamed J514 and J516 and powered by the M3 Pro and M3 Max CPUs, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurnman.
The Cupertino business is expected to provide enhanced gaming capabilities akin to the much-touted power of the A 17 CPU in the iPhone 15 Pro, according to a Bloomberg article, even if the specs for the M3 chipsets that will come with the next MacBook Pro series are unclear. There have been hints in recent media reports that Apple would be adding more iPad models to its lineup, and announcements were anticipated at recent events. Gurnman did point out that this year's event would not see Apple revealing any new iPad models.
It has been alleged that Apple is testing several iterations of the 12-core M3 Pro CPU, which will include six efficiency cores and six high-performance cores. Four efficiency cores, ten high-performance cores, twenty graphics cores, and an additional M3 Pro chipset might total fourteen primary cores. A top-tier M3 Max chipset, on the other hand, may have 16 cores total—12 high-performance cores, 4 efficiency cores, and 40 graphics cores. The manufacturer of iPhones also intends to provide more advanced RAM models, such as 24GB and 48GB choices.
