Delhi : The Stories feature was launched by YouTube, a service owned by Google, in 2017. Users have the option to publish brief postings that will expire in June using this functionality. The option to start a new YouTube Story will be removed starting on 6/26/2023 (June 26). The business stated in a blog post that stories that are already online on that date would end seven days after they were first shared.

The rationale behind discontinuing this function was also disclosed by YouTube. According to the business, "there are many ways to create on YouTube," including long-form, Shorts, and Live. The business continued, "Stories are going away to focus these critical elements. Instead, YouTube is requesting that video producers concentrate on YouTube Shorts and Community postings.

The advice from YouTube for producers

Creators may publish updates, create discussions, or advertise their YouTube material to their audience through YouTube Community. The business stated that among artists who utilise both posts and stories, posts often generate several times more comments and likes than stories.

This feature, which contains certain characteristics of Stories, is available to YouTube producers. There are editing tools available, and posts may be set to expire after 24 hours. Creators may employ new interaction tools like polls, quizzes, filters, and stickers with this functionality.

Additionally, YouTube has urged producers to "reach a new audience" through the platform's short-form video format, Shorts. According to the firm, Shorts often drive many times more subscriptions than Stories.

The Shorts camera has mobile video editing features including text and filter addition. YouTube promises to enhance the Shorts experience with additional interesting features. The business just made it possible to respond to comments with Shorts.

Google has combined its DeepMind and Brain teams into one division known as Google DeepMind. The new unit has provided information on how AI is being used to create descriptions for YouTube Shorts.
