Threads mobile app gets an upgrade: Say hello to seamless profile switching!
Delhi : Threads, a competitor of Meta's Twitter (now X), has launched a feature that will allow users to move between numerous accounts on its mobile app without logging out.
On Thursday, the business announced on Threads from its official account that users may now switch between numerous profiles on mobile. To switch accounts on its mobile apps, users must long touch the profile symbol in the bottom right corner. To add a new profile, they must tap the Add profile option after performing a long press.
To open a menu, first long-press the profile tab. Check out your other Instagram profiles that are active. To sign in to Threads, simply tap Add profile. To move between profiles after logging in, long press the profile tab a second time. And that's it; just post away, the business said. Users will find it simpler to switch between their personal and professional identities thanks to this feature. It's interesting to note that Threads revealed the function on the same day that Facebook extended support for up to four extra personal profiles on the app.
A "keyword search" function that Threads began testing in Australia and New Zealand last week was made available earlier this month to several nations, including India, on mobile and the web. The function was launched by the corporation in Argentina, Mexico, the UK, and the US in addition to India. According to Meta, "as soon as we can, we're working on bringing the feature to other languages and countries."
