Delhi : New security measures have been introduced by WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, to provide users more control over their conversations and increase privacy. The modifications to the messaging app will be implemented gradually, with some of them occurring automatically in the background. The goal is to make chats as safe as in-person interactions.

The new function seeks to increase user access to encrypted messaging by automatically confirming the connection's security without needing input from users.

Additionally, users can choose to employ WhatsApp's two-step authentication and end-to-end encrypted backups as security features. To assist more individuals stay safe, the business urges users to tell their friends about these features. The new features' main objective is to provide users more privacy.

Account Protect, a new security feature introduced by the instant messaging service, will give users an additional degree of security when they move their WhatsApp accounts to different devices. In order to avoid unauthorized attempts, the functionality will question users on the old device to confirm that they desire to migrate their account to another device.

Device Verification, another new feature added to WhatsApp, attempts to shield users from mobile viruses that might use their phone to send unwanted messages by exploiting it without their knowledge. WhatsApp has introduced checks to verify users' accounts and protect them in case their device is hacked without requiring any user input.
