Delhi : WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is developing a new feature dubbed "Chat Transfer" that will enable users to transfer data from one Android device to another using a local network.

As the software is still being developed, the business will include the new feature in a later version, according to WABetaInfo.

By scanning the QR code, users will be able to move their conversation history to a new device using this tool. It will make Google Drive unnecessary, so users won't need to back up their chat data to the cloud service in order to move their talks between devices.

WhatsApp has introduced a proxy support for users worldwide, including the millions of individuals in Iran and other countries who continue to be denied the freedom to communicate in private and openly.

By selecting a proxy, they can connect to WhatsApp using servers set up by volunteers and organizations working to support free communication all over the world.

"We're making it simpler for everyone to use a proxy to connect to WhatsApp. In order to regain access to WhatsApp after it has been blocked, "explained WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart.
