Debate 2: Hillary Clinton vs Donald Trump at Washington University

New Delhi : Stirring the email row for one more time Donald Trump on Monday launched a grim attack on Hillary Clinton and vowed to put her behind bars if elected as President of the United States of America. But as the second debate concluded, things didn’t work in his favour and Hillary Clinton turned out to be a winner.

Clinton opted for harsh attack straight from start as skipped shaking hands with the 70-year-old Republican nominee as they walked in for a faceoff on the stage at the Washington University in St Louis.

Soon after the 90-minute long debate was concluded, a poll was conducted to find the winner. As Hillary managed to claim the title, Trump managed to earn the word – performance better than expectation; especially when he was heavily criticised for making vulgar comments on women in a 2005 video.

Clinton also slammed Trump for his views on banning Muslims from entering the United States of America, saying it will be "shortsighted" and "dangerous" to engage in his "demagogic rhetoric" about the community as the two clashed on Obamacare, taxes and Islamaphobia in the second segment of the town-hall style debate.

Trump vs Hillary over sex tape

While Clinton alleged that the real estate tycoon's 2005 video of lewd and sexually explicit remarks against women - that jolted his White House campaign and prompted top Republican leaders to abandon him - reflects "the real" Trump, he accused her husband Bill Clinton of sexual assault of women over the past several decades.

Trump said he was "very embarrassed" with the video that surfaced on Friday and "hated" it but dismissed the recording as "locker room talk" in response to a question in the early phase of the debate that quickly turned into an acrimonious discussion over the clip in which he was heard using vulgar language and talking about groping women without consent.

Under pressure following the backlash over the video as well as his past performance at the first presidential debate on September 27 which media said was "agitated" and "ignorant", Trump appeared defiant.

Trump vows to put Hillary behind bars

While, the attack was completely taking the heat; the billionaire vowed if elected as the US President, to launch a special investigation against Clinton over her use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state under US President Barack Obama from 2009-2013 and ensure she is jailed.

"If I win, I'm going to instruct the attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation because there're never been so many lies, so much deception," Trump said.

Clinton hit back, saying "everything he just said is absolutely false, but I'm not surprised," she said.

"Oh, really?" Trump remarked.

"It is just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country," Clinton said.

"Because you'd be in jail," Trump said in another interruption.
