New Delhi : A 2-year-old female Chihuahua named Pearl (in USA) has now been officially tagged as the world’s shortest dog living on Earth.

Pearl measures 9.14 centimetre (3.59 in) in height, which is seven times shorter than the world's shortest women alive - Jyoti Amge.

To put things in perspective, Pearl measures 12.7 cm (5.0 in), which is approximately the size of a currency note and she weighs around 553 g.

You must know that girl is a relative of previous record holder - Miracle Milly (9.65 cm; 3.8 in), who sadly passed away in 2022, before Pearl was born. Pearl is the daughter of one of the Milly’s identical sisters.

When Milly was born, she was weighing less than 28 grams. Similarly, Pearl was also less than 28 gram in weight during her birth.

Pearl was recently unveiled to the world in Milan, Italy, on the set of our TV talent show Lo Show Dei Record.

Talking about the Pearl, the owner had claimed that she comes with a low temperament as compared to the other dogs of the same breed. She is also comfortable with the large crowd. She has a good diet and eats high quality food like chicken and salmon, and she also likes to dress up nice.
