Delhi : Mercedes-Benz India has declared that starting on January 1st 2023, it will increase prices across the board by up to 5%. The price increase, according to the carmaker, would be implemented to counteract inflationary pressure and rising input prices. Additionally, the price increase for cars would vary based on the model.

Martin Schwenk, the managing director and chief executive officer of Mercedes-Benz India, remarked on the price increase by stating that the company "Mercedes-Benz has been setting benchmarks in the luxury automotive industry in India by introducing world-class products and technologies for the discerning customers." However, a price adjustment is necessary to counter the escalating inflationary cost pressures in order to maintain a sustainable and profitable business for us and our Franchise Partners.

Whereas Schwenk also says that "Even though we are bearing the majority of the cost rise, we are forced to pass some of the increase on to the clients. The brand's premium price positioning will be ensured by the price adjustment, and Mercedes-Benz will continue to provide best-in-class ownership experiences,

Now the manufacturer sells imported and domestically built vehicles in India. Along with the GLA, GLC, GLC Coupe, they also have new generation C-Class,A- class Limousine, E-Class Long Wheelbase, S-Class, and Mercedes Maybach S 580, they also have a number of other vehicles.

Audi India, however, revealed on Wednesday that all of its model range will see price increases of up to 1.7% in the coming year. The manufacturer says these increased rates, which take effect on January 1, 2023, could not be avoided due to an increase in input and operating costs.

Balbir Singh Dhillon, the head of Audi India, commented on the price increase by stating that the company's main goal is to focus on a model that promotes sustainability and profitability. The increase in supply-chain-related input and operating costs has an impact on price correction. The new pricing range for our models aims to uphold our brand's premium price stance while assuring Audi India and our dealer partners' long-term success. Being a human-centric brand, we continue to make sure that the impact of the price increase on our clients is as small as possible.
