Walkaround of the MG Gloster Blackstorm

Black, White, Silver, and Grey are some of the most popular colour options for SUVs across the world. For SUVs, the colours black and white are the most popular. Many OEMs have introduced 'Dark' versions of their SUVs in India as well. With the release of the Gloster Blackstorm variation by MG Motor, the trend is still going strong. Despite the fact that it is only a dark version of the SUV, the name "Blackstorm" has stronger connotations. MG Gloster Blackstorm concentrates on using a high-contrast combination of black and red to create a stealthier, more dramatic appearance. Both the interiors and the exteriors have been decorated with the same motif. MG Gloster Blackstorm is mostly an aesthetic improvement. The hardware resembles normal variation hardware in many ways.

MG Gloster Blackstorm comes in two unique colours, Metal Ash and Black, despite being essentially a dark version. The former is a matte-finished dark grey hue, whilst the latter is a glossy black shade. People who might find the glossy black exteriors a little too overpowering may prefer the second alternative. Both colour tones share the red treatment.

The headlights, front and back bumpers, brake callipers, and rearview mirrors all have a red finish. The majority of the chrome trim seen on the normal variant's body has been darkened out. Alloy wheels and the front grille are part of it. 'GLOSTER' and 'Internet Inside' badging has been obscured at the back. This guarantees that the Blackstorm motif will be emphasised more.

The inside of the MG Gloster Blackstorm is decorated in black with red and silver accents. Although it might not appear as vibrant, a black interior design will appeal to people who value domination and power. Gloster's regular model includes tan seats and a nicer atmosphere.

No new features or performance improvements

The MG Gloster Blackstorm variation is basically identical to the ordinary form save from minor aesthetic changes. There are two engine choices: a 2.0-liter twin turbo diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel. The turbo engine produces 373.5 Nm and 161 PS. The dual turbo generates 478.5 Nm and 215.5 PS. A 8AT gearbox is connected to both engines. An SUV's 44 system includes seven terrain modes. Users may select among Snow, Sand, Mud, Rock, Sports, Auto, and Eco terrain modes depending on the driving circumstances.

Advanced security features from MG Gloster include ADAS. Blind spot recognition, adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, automatic parking assistance, lane departure warning, lane change assistance, rear cross traffic alert, and door open warning are examples of autonomous Level-1 features.

Both a 42 and a 44 format is offered for the standard Gloster version. The starting price is Rs 38.08 lakh. In contrast, the starting price for the MG Gloster Blackstorm model is Rs. 40.30 lakh. It will compete with vehicles like the Mahindra Alturas G4, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, and Skoda.
