Apple set to shift focus on Indian market
New Delhi : Apple Inc is reshuffling its management for international businesses to shift their focus on Indian market, said a report.
Demand for Apple iPhones has seen a search in the Indian market and in this regards, the company will be shifting its focus on the market in the coming days.
According to a report, Apple is making the changes after its Vice President in charge of India, the Middle East, Mediterranean, East Europe and Africa, Hugues Asseman recently retired. After this, the company is set to promote its head of India, Mr Ashish Choudhary, who will now report directly to Michael Fenger, Apple’s head of product sales.
Meanwhile, there is no official communication on this from the company itself, but some media reports have claimed the development, quoting some of the people who are aware of it.
Talking about the finances, Apple has posted a record revenue in India in the last quarter, considering that its total sale were down by 5%. Apple has created an online store to serve the region and is also planning to set up multiple retail outlets in the country in the coming year.
