New Delhi : Handling fame and success is not everyone's cup of tea, the same goes for 'Baba Ka Dhaba' that shot to fame overnight with a viral video showcasing the sad situation of an elderly couple struggling to earn money from their small eatery shop in Delhi.

Last year, their story touched many people on social media who came forward and helped the couple both with money and emotions. With a collection of some money, the couple started another food outlet, this time more spacious and hygienic.

But, unfortunately, the eatery did not work as per expectations and it has been claimed by the owners that they did not make any profit out of it in three months, finally closing it down and returning to their old little shop, where footfall was comparatively better.

Baba Ka Dhaba owner Kanta Prasad had opened a food outlet in December 2020 with an investment of around 1 lakh rupees but later closed it due to losses.

He told ANI, "On an investment of Rs 1 lakh, we only earned Rs 35,000, that's why I shut it down. I'm happy to run my old eatery as customer footfall is good here."
