Delhi : London-based brand of consumer electronics Nothing is ready to raise the bar for its recognizable transparent design. Carl Pei, the creator of Nothing, who is renowned for his innovative designs, previewed the company's updated charging cable with a semi-transparent form.

The Type-C USB connectors on either end will have a semi-transparent plastic appearance and the 'Nothing' logo carved on the visible metal, while the table will still be white. Six circles are also present on the USB tips, although their function is unknown. According to some, USB plugs might have LED lights.

The boss of Nothing was also pleased to say that the new Type-C USB cord was "nice."

Pei joked when a user questioned why it was 69 cm long, "For the memes."

The smart device manufacturer revealed Nothing Phone (2)'s launch dates earlier this month. The future flagship phone is slated to debut the following month.

The business claims that a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which has an 18-bit Image Signal Processor (ISP) capable of recording over 4,000 times more camera data than the ISP used on the Phone (1), would be the driving force behind the second-generation Nothing smartphone.

The tech business will assemble the cellphones at the Tamil Nadu plant of Chinese manufacturer BYD. The second phone will be produced in Tamil Nadu, India. The phones will only be used in India, according to the vice president and general manager of Manu sharma Nothing India.

With the introduction of the first Phone (1), the firm began producing its handsets in India. To create demand and control supplies, it is crucial for us to be able to reach the Indian market. We wished to be near the marketplace. In India and across the world, Our Phone (1) has achieved great success. Our demand is so great that huge quantities are produced right here in India," Sharma continued.

Sharma added that the business would make the Phone (2) of recyclable materials. In addition to the 80% of plastic used in the Phone (2), he claimed, "We will use 100% recycled copper, steel, tin, etc."

The official Twitter account of Nothing discussed the substantial action made to increase the sustainability of the smartphone industry in a thorough thread. "Phone (2) is the first time we've achieved a lower carbon footprint on a second-generation product," the post's opening line said.

The carbon footprint of the Phone (2) is 53.45 kg, which is nearly 5 kg less than that of its forerunner. The new smartphone will have a 0.15-inch larger screen than the Phone (1) and a 200 mAh larger battery capacity.

Compared to Phone 1, Phone (2) has three times as many recycled or bio-based materials. The frame will be constructed entirely from recycled aluminium. "Over 90% recycled steel on all 28 steel stamping components, 100% recycled copper foil on the main circuit board, and 100% recycled tin on 9 circuit boards. 80% of plastic components were obtained responsibly, according to the tweet. Also free of plastic will be the unpacking of Phone (2).
