Twitter denied access to my account for almost an hour: Ravi Shankar Prasad

New Delhi : IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday announced that he was denied access to his Twitter account today for almost an hour. Later, he was given access to his account.

"Twitter denied access to my account for almost an hour on the alleged ground that there was a violation of Digital Millennium Copyright Act of the USA and subsequently they allowed me to access the account," said the minister.

This comes at a time when Twitter has been put under scanner by the Central government authorities for not complying with the new rules recently issued in the nation.

The company is yet to share the details of Chief Compliance Officer to the authorities, however, the company recently announced that they have appointed one and the details will be shared soon.
