New Delhi : After concluding his Russia visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the European country of Austria, where he received a grand welcome. The Prime Minister was welcomed with a red carpet reception in the European nation. Austria's Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg personally greeted Prime Minister Modi at the airport.

After welcoming Prime Minister Modi, Alexander Schallenberg tweeted, "A warm welcome to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his historic visit to Austria. This marks the 75th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. Our partnership between our countries is based on a shared commitment to global security, stability, and prosperity."

Welcomed with 'Vande Mataram'

From the airport, Prime Minister Modi headed straight to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Vienna, the capital of Austria. Here, he was greeted by the Indian diaspora. Upon his arrival at the hotel, Austrian artists welcomed Prime Minister Modi with the song 'Vande Mataram.'

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer met with Prime Minister Modi. He posted a selfie with Prime Minister Modi, saying, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi, welcome to Vienna. It is a pleasure and honor to welcome you to Austria. Austria and India are friends and partners. I look forward to our political and economic discussions during your visit!"
