New Delhi : A true friend is someone who is trustworthy and loyal, who not only highlights your strengths but also points out your flaws. Prime Minister Modi exemplified this today, reminding Russian President Vladimir Putin once again that peace cannot be achieved on the battlefield. Notably, President Putin respected PM Modi’s advice and appreciated India’s efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis.

The bilateral talks between India and Russia have been ongoing for 25 years, with 22 meetings already held. However, this particular meeting has captured the world's attention. The global community is closely watching, especially NATO countries that are meeting in the US. They are eager to see what message PM Modi, having secured a third term, delivers to President Putin regarding Ukraine. The world is curious about the peace formula that only India's Prime Minister has the courage to present to Putin.

President Putin awarded Prime Minister Narendra Modi Russia’s highest civilian honor, the 'Order of St. Andrew the Apostle'. After receiving this prestigious award, PM Modi stated that it is an honor for India’s 1.4 billion people.

Even before leaving for Russia, it was anticipated that PM Modi would address the Ukraine conflict. India had already made it clear that the solution to the Ukraine war cannot be found on the battlefield. PM Modi reiterated this point during his talks with Putin. The ease with which Putin took India’s concerns seriously highlighted the depth of the friendship between the two nations.
