How to Get ePAN card online at home with Aadhaar card details
New Delhi : PAN card is an important document issued by the Income tax Department. It is a ten-digit alpha-numeric number issued in order to prevent tax evasion by individuals and companies as it connects all financial transactions like receiving salary, professional fee and sale or purchase of assets etc.
To help taxpayers, the IT department has introduced a facility to get e-PAN card sitting at home. The PAN card will be in digital format and will be issued only the basis of Aadhaar card.
However, the newly introduced e-PAN card is for a short time use only. At the same time, in this facility, the PAN card holder can not apply for e-PAN card in advance. If you don’t have PAN card and want to make one immediately, then follow this procedure-
Steps to Get ePAN card online Process
Step 1: Go to the website of the Income Tax Department at www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the instant e-PAN coming up in the Quick links.
Step 3: Carefully read the directions given hereafter. Then click on the Apply Instant e-Pane.
Step 4: Fill up the form and be careful to avoid mistakes
Step 5: OTP will be generated on your registered mobile number
After verifying the mobile number, the e-KYC process will be completed
Please note that the e-PAN will be given to the taxpayer on the basis of Aadhaar card. Therefore, all information, name, date of birth, gender given in the base should be absolutely correct. E-pane and base information should match. The taxpayer must also provide the mobile number already registered with his Aadhaar card. On this, one-time password or OTP will come. These mobile numbers must be verified.
After the signing of OTP on white paper, the e-KYC process will be completed after which the application process of e-pane will start. To get free pan card at home immediately, the user has to upload a scan copy of his signature signed in a white paper. Its resolution should be 200 DPI and size is 10 KB. Upload this photo of 2x4.5 cm dimension to JPEG format.
Applicants will not be given any kind of hard copy of the 15-digit PAN card number as it is a digital facility only. After completion of E-PAN card application, a 14 digit e-PAN card number will be sent to the given mobile number / email ID.
The free PAN Card facility in digital format is available for individual people only. No companies can take benefit out of this new facility by the Income Tax department.
